Fishing Report – 5/18/16 – 5/21/16 Lake Guntersville, Alabama

The bite the past few days has been a little tougher but we still managed some big fish. The bite today was on and we all only fished one bait all day. Once you can find that magical depth for the day its game on if you can stay on top of them. Even if you lose them for a bit they will show back up. Have several areas containing really big schools of fish and when they are on its hot and heavy. When they shut off you won’t even mark a fish. Move your positioning a little they will usually show back up and the bite is on for while again. Cranks and swimbaits are the first choice but big worms and jigs are working well also.   Curt Staley’s Pro Guide Service 256-990-0376 Lake Guntersville, Alabama Guntersville Bass, Guntersville Bass Guide Mail...

Fish Report May 17, 2016 Guntersville Lake, Alabama

The fishing the past few weeks has been up and down throughout the day. There will be slow periods throughout the day, BUT THEN….the bite will be FAST and HEAVY. When they are on…. THEY ARE REALY ON. We have been catching a lot of BIG FISH though. I am finding the fish are feeding on smaller baits this year than what they were eating last year. We have caught fish on a variety of different baits but the biggest thing is timing. If you can hit them when they cut loose its game on. Have some patience, keep searching and then hang on it’s probably going to be a real good one. The TVA is pulling less water, with the lack of current this year it’s hard to determine when Happy Hour will be. I have a few days towards the end of the month available and some June dates open if anyone wants to get out see what The Big-G will produce.   Curt Staley’s Pro Guide Service 256-990-0376 Lake Guntersville, Alabama Guntersville Bass, Guntersville Bass Guide Mail...
