Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville on 8-21-15

The weather the past week has sucked with all the scattered storms we have had every day. I had to reschedule a few trips and was lucky to be able to reschedule them since they lived close. Even though some trips got cancelled I still got out some in between all the bad weather. That is one thing that is nice about living around 10 to 15 min. from most of the ramps. The best baits through all this bad weather have been swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and a swimbait. Covering as much water as possibly by letting the wind push the boat has worked well with the conditions. I have caught several 2 to 4 lb fish this past week by doing this. You will come into little areas and get several bites really quick.   I have dates open in Sept. and Oct. If you are planning a trip and want a little head start to maximize your fishing trip just give me a call or drop me an email. Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, AL on 8-16-15

I have had the past few days off and have just spent them running down some new areas and trying to hunt down some big ones and I finally ran down some good ones. I had two over 7, a 6 and a 5 today and several other decent fish. I caught them the same ways I have been catching them the past month and that is flipping a big jig, swimming a big worm and a swim jig. I have a few more days to do some hunting before my trips start back up.   I have dates open in Sept. and Oct. Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, Al on 8-12-15

The past few days have been really tough and we have only boated 8 to 10 fish a day. I am not sure what they have done to me but I feel they are still there and I just haven’t hit them right or they just haven’t bit. Hopefully things change and in a hurry. We have flipped, fished worms, swam jigs, thrown spinnerbaits, top water and just can’t get things going. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully things go better. Fishing Report For Lake Guntersville, Al on 8-9-15

We had another great day today and boated around 35 fish total. We caught fish on big jigs flipped on the backside of the grass lines in 8 to 10 feet, 10” worms worked in the same areas but fished them out in the scattered grass along with a swim jig. We didn’t have any big bites today but as many 3 to 3 ½ lb fish as we caught it was a fun day. Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, Al on 8-7-15

This report is pretty much the same as my last few reports and everything is still the same as far as patterns. Flipping has been the way to go and we are hitting several different groups of fish throughout the day. When you get one bite there just may be 3, 4 or 5 more sitting there. Big jigs are working best pitched on the backside of the grass lines in 8 to 10 feet of water. We are also catching fish on a big worm. We are catching a lot of 3 to 3 ½ lb fish and are getting anywhere from 5 to 8 good bites a day. Today was a really good day as we probably had 35 to 40 bites.
