Fishing Report Guntersville Lake Alabama 4/29/15

The bite is really turning on and the big fish are starting to go nuts. We have had 3 fish over 8lbs in the past few days with several 4 to 6 lb fish. On Tuesday my client and myself both had bags around the 30lb mark. We are catching fish on just about everything we are fishing. The best depth is 12 to 15 feet just outside of spawning areas. Everyday you have got to relocate the schools. They are in the same general area but they may be 200 yards this way or that way. Electronics are playing a huge part in relocating these fish, it is huge right now. The bite will continue to pick up. Everyday it seems like there are more and more showing up. Open dates right now for May are the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, the morning of the 12th open and the 27th, 28th and 29th for May. Call me and lets get you booked NOW if anyone wants to get in on some of the action. I am also starting to book trips into June. Fishing update on Guntersville Lake, Alabama

There are a lot of fish still shallow. Some fish have moved out into the 6 to 8 foot range. We are catching around 30 fish a day with a few big fish in the mix. In the next week or so things should really fire back up after they re-coupe from there post spawn blues. We are catching fish on everything we fish. Pick up your favorite bait and go. You can have a great time on the lake. Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, Al on 4-12-15

The bite the past 4 to 5 days has been on fire. We have had days with 50 to 60 bites a day. You can pick up your favorite bait and just go as long as it is fished slow and steady. Friday was our best day this week for really big fish. Our best 5 was in the low 30’s. Every fish that was caught was in 4 feet or less and some you couldn’t get shallow enough. The fish really ate ahead of the cool front we had. Saturday was a different story and you had to work a lot harder for your bites as even the pros found. We have been catching the majority of fish on soft plastics and we have literally caught fish on everything we have fished. Taking your time and working an area when you get bit is huge right now. 80% of the time when you get a bite there are several more lying around. The biggest key is finding where that big wave of fish is moving in on and they will be there for a few days and the next day it may be 100 yards away. I have the 20th, the morning of the 21st, 22nd, 27th of this month open and for May I have the 1st, 3rd, 7th,8th,9th,10th, The morning of the 12th, 27th,28th,29th, and 30th open if anyone wants to get in on the ledge bite. Good luck out there. Curt Staley’s Pro Guide Service Lake Guntersville, Al www.guntersvillebass.com Email – guntersvillebass@gmail.com Cell is...

Lizards, brush hogs, senko’s or any type of small creature bait. Stay covering water and you will find small stretches where they are bedding big time and you will catch 5 to 10 fish really quick.
