Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, Al 2-26-15

The weather the past few weeks has been rough and has really limited the days we were able to get out. The water temp is down to 41 deg. and the past few days we have averaged the best 5 of 20 to 23 lbs with our best fish between 6 and 7 lbs. The last few trips I have ran in the past few days have been with guys that have some tournaments coming up and when we got bit in an area we never stayed fishing it. We just kept moving and hitting areas getting them several spots to rotate through the day. Traps and crankbaits are the deal right now for us fished in 8 to 12 feet of water. Most days right now you will hit a fish here and there and then you will come across that area and get 4 or 5 bites and up to 10 bites of it pretty quick but it is never right in the same spot but the same general area. You just need to keep bouncing around until you find those little schools or wolf packs. I have days open if anyone wants to get out. Here are a few pics of some of the bigger fish we have had. I just happen to catch them Curt Staley’s Pro Guide Service Lake Guntersville, Al www.guntersvillebass.com Email – guntersvillebass@gmail.com Cell #...

Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville, Al 2-6-15

Since my last report things are still the same out there. We are catching fish from 7 to 10 feet of water on grass lines mixed with shell and stumps on traps, crankbaits. Out of the last 10 days I have spent 7 days on the water scouting different areas of the lake out. I did have a few trips this week and I have them all weekend. The trips earlier in the week did not produce any big bites just solid 3 to 3 ½ pound fish and I feel that with the full moon the majority of the fish were feeding at night. On my trips we would he some of my best spots without a bite, we could mark the fish but could not get them to bite. On both trips this week the last 30 to 45 min before dark the fished turned on and we had to leave the biting because of it getting dark and really cold. Yesterday I didn’t get out until around one and with the wind I didn’t get but a few bites but they were 5 lbers. I just wanted to drop a quick report so I can get things ready this morning to head out on the water to check some new areas out for the trips this weekend and a few next week. I will post some pics in my next report. I still have some dates available if anyone wants to get out.
